Welcome to Foundation Principles. In this module you will be introduced to foundation analysis principles which you will be able to apply to the analysis of any farm business. Using this information you will be able to:

- Recognise and give examples of the law of diminishing marginal returns and how it applies to a unique dairying system.
- Use a nitrogen tool and consider how other similar tools might be used on your farm to calculate break-even responses.
- Calculate marginal response given a number of factors.
