Welcome to this module which covers Payroll, Leave and The Law (Part One). This is an introductory module to these concepts and will give you some insight into the requirements you need to follow when employing someone on your farm. It’s important to know that legal requirements around employees on farm changes constantly and you will need to continually be aware of changes in the law. 

Once you have completed the online material and then participated in the workshop you will be able to:
- determine pay classifications given a set role or skill set. 
- apply required record-keeping practices. 
- identify minimum standards that employees need to be given access to and the process to do this.
