Introducing the Standard Chart of Accounts (SCoA)
-
This module will help you to identify and describe the purpose and benefits of the SCoA including suitability for tax and management accounting, identify, access, and utilise the different elements of the SCoA including categories, subcategories and description sections, code invoices, and other relevant documentation in accordance with SCoA categories and use the SCoA to enter invoices into an accounting ledger.
The module should take about 60 minutes to complete. Within the module there are four activities to complete and four videos to watch as well as text to read on the topic. The activities will help reinforce the material being presented and help you learn the topic.
You should also download and have on hand the Dairy Australia Standard Chart of Accounts (SCoA) which you can reference throughout the module.
Download these invoices, which you will use for the final activity in this module.
The following terms will be used throughout Introducing the SCoA. It's a good idea to be familiar with these before reading the module.
