In this topic we will learn about milking completion and removal of cups.

Remember:

1. Observing the milk flow into the claw bowl and how collapsed the cow’s udder is just above the teats provides information on when to remove the cups.
2. To remove the cups, the long milk hose should be kinked and then the milker should wait for the cups to gently fall off the cows. If ACRs are fitted, they will cut the vacuum.
3. Observe if milk is flowing easily away from the claw bowl and whether the cups fall away easily when the vacuum is broken. If not, check the air admission hole and clean if blocked.
