Hi all,

At our last live workshop you identified additional information required from Tocal to inform your recommendation report. I have received this information from Tocal and posted in the Padlet page we were working on. You can access the information via this link:

https://padlet.com/april_browne88/p4cn9gl8s79mrh25

I am waiting to receive some additional herd records which were also requested and hope to have these through in the next few days. I will forward these as attachments in a separate announcement for you.

We do have a live session scheduled for this Thursday afternoon however I would like to propose that we push the session back to next Thursday 20th May given you are still waiting on the herd records. This session will be an opportunity for you to present your recommendations to the group based on the report you have developed. Note that there is a template for your report in Part 3 of Module 1 which provides detailed guidance.

Could you please let me know at earliest convenience if it does not suit you to move the live session from this Thursday to next week - 20th May. As it will be our final session for Module 1, it would be great to have you all along to present your recommendations.

Finally, keep an eye out in your email inbox for an update about the VET Dairy Conference which will be coming through shortly!

Cheers,

April

Hi all,

Please find attached to this post the February herd record results for Tocal Dairy and benchmarking graphs which compare milk production, milk quality and DIM for Tocal against the region. I am happy to go through any of the data with you or if you are comfortable reviewing it yourselves that's no problem.

Just confirming in relation to my earlier post here, we will move the catch up session which was scheduled for tonight at 5pm to next Thursday 20th May at 5:00pm. This session will be an opportunity for each group to present a summary of their report including their analysis of the case and recommendations for whether Tocal Dairy should consider applying the principles of the Smart Feeding Project. You may wish to prepare a few Powerpoint slides to summarise your analysis and findings.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to touch base with me. Note that there is a template in Part 3 of the module which will guide you in writing your report.

Have a lovely Thursday,

April

Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that we have our final online session tomorrow night (Thursday) for wrapping up Module 1.

The main focus of this session will be an opportunity for each group to provide a summary outlining the analysis and recommendations presented in your final report. You are welcome to prepare a few slides to support your presentation of information or discuss independently.

We will also spend some time evaluating the module, identifying effective elements and opportunities for further development which may be adopted in Module 2.

I will also be providing an update regarding the professional conference.

Look forward to seeing you tomorrow at 5:00pm. The meeting link can be accessed via the Hub or following this link:
