Hello everyone, my name is April Browne and I'm the lead of learning and development partnerships here at dairy Australia. Over the past few months I've been working with some of your colleagues in the bit sector from a range of different audios, as well as some of my colleagues here in the dairy industry to develop this professional development program for you. This is the first year that dairy Australia has run a program like this for the trainers and we certainly hope that you find it enjoyable and worthwhile in developing your professional capacity. The program itself, as you will read going through the welcome module has three components to it or three modules. Each module is focused on a different technical area so that you learn a little bit about the latest research and innovation happening and best practice for the industry. We also have focused around educational design and showcasing to you some different design techniques that you can use in your classroom to help deliver content to students. And that doesn't have to be just for the topics that we talk about you can apply that educational design theory across many different topics when you're teaching units of competency. We also hope to have, in addition to the three modules a professional conference in the middle of the year, in July, this will be for two days, and it should be like ending craven restrictions more information about the conference will be given though closer to the day. Meanwhile, we encourage you to access module one when it becomes live and start working through that there are a series of live zoom sessions which fall sporadically throughout each module the dates for these can be found in the calendar, which is located within each module the rest of the module is delivered asynchronously so you're welcome to do that in your own time, at your own pace and when it suits you all, we require is that you are available for those face-to-face sessions. You'll notice with module one when you access it it's been broken into several parts, this is so that you can focus on pieces of information at a time, rather than trying to absorb everything all at once. We've also broken the module up into sections, because each section will be followed by a face-to-face zoom session, and it's really important that you don't jump too far ahead so that you can actively participate in each scene session with the topic that we're up to at that time. Feel free, however, to do as much as you can we like within each each section when time allows for you. Other than that, we hope you have a fantastic experience doing this module We absolutely welcome feedback and there will be a formal feedback process, however, as you go through. If you have any problems or would like to provide me with any feedback throughout the module do not hesitate to contact me my email and phone are all listed in the welcome tile in life and you can access that at any time that you like so good luck enjoy and I'm really enjoying I mean this journey with you.
