The DairySTART program consists of three modules:

1.     Rearing Healthy Calves

2.     Working With Livestock

3.     Milking Operations

In each module, participants will complete a pathway of learning activities that are delivered by Dairy NSW in partnership with Tocal Agricultural College. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in these technical areas through a mix of online and face to face learning experiences that flexibly fit around your work commitments. At the end of the program you will have completed three Dairy NSW courses:

1.     Rearing Healthy Calves

2.     Working With Livestock

3.     Milking and Mastitis Management

You will have also completed a range of on farm and classroom learning experiences delivered by Tocal Agricultural College. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills and knowledge developed through these learning experiences and achieve three units of competency toward the formal qualification, a Certificate III in Dairy Production. These units can be used as recognised prior learning if you choose to continue and complete your full Certificate qualification at a later stage.
